# Writing prompts

> User prompts, AI-optimized final prompts, mentions, templates, and style presets.

## Two prompts, not one

The prompt box has two tabs.

    What you typed. This is yours and WJI does not change it.

    What actually gets sent. WJI rewrites your prompt into a fuller description, and you can edit
    the result by hand or press refresh to optimize again.

Switching to the Final prompt tab triggers optimization automatically. So does changing the model —
different models respond to different phrasing, so the final prompt is regenerated to suit.

  If you press generate while optimization is still running, WJI waits for it to finish before
  submitting. The button stays disabled until then.

## Referencing your assets

Type `@` in the prompt to mention a reference you have added — `@image1`, `@video1`, `@audio1`.
This tells the model which reference you mean when you write something like
"put @image1 in the setting from @image2".

References are auto-named `image1`, `image2` and so on, but you can rename them. Names longer than
64 characters fall back to the automatic name.

## Prompt templates

The template library has 58 templates in four categories:

| Category        | Covers                                                                  |
| --------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Character**   | Face swaps, outfit changes, hairstyles, expressions, poses, age, gender |
| **Composition** | Framing and layout                                                      |
| **Camera**      | Camera movement and angles                                              |
| **Blend**       | Combining references                                                    |

## Style presets

Thirteen styles are available, plus a custom option:

None · Cinematic · Japanese anime · 3D animation · Unreal Engine · Photorealistic · Cartoon ·
Japanese manga · American comic · 3D render · Claymation · Blind-box figure · Hand-drawn sketch

<Warning>
  The style is appended to the final prompt when you submit, but it is **not shown in the prompt
  box**. If your results look stylized and you cannot see why, check whether a style is still
  selected from an earlier generation.

Inside a workspace, your style choice is saved to the workspace rather than just your browser.

## Saving a prompt you like

**Save as prompt preset** stores the prompt for reuse. Presets can be scoped to the workspace so
everyone on the project can use them. See
