Storyboard mode produces a single image divided into a grid, where each cell is a different shot or a different angle on the same subject.

Three layouts, chosen from a dropdown: Choosing a layout forces batch size to 1 — the grid is the output. Add shot descriptions is a toggle. With it on, each cell carries a caption describing the shot.

Upscaling a cell

The grid is one image, so an individual cell is only a fraction of its resolution. When you find a frame worth keeping, upscale it.

Choose a resolution

2K or 4K, with an optional detail-enhancement toggle.

Start the upscale

WJI crops that cell, uploads it, and regenerates it at the higher resolution.
Cell upscaling requires a specific model to be available on your account. If it is missing, WJI tells you rather than silently substituting a different one.

On the canvas

The canvas has its own storyboard tools that go further — one-click 2×2, 3×3, and 4×4 grids from an existing image, plus a storyboard builder for assembling frames. See Image presets and storyboards.
Storyboard mode is at its best early, when you are deciding how a scene should be covered. Once you know the shots you want, generate them individually at full resolution instead — you get more control per frame and do not have to upscale afterwards.
